Isratech Lab is a laboratory information system (LIS) for diagnostic and pathology laboratories in Pakistan. It handles patient registration, test ordering, billing, cash control, barcode labels, result entry and printed reports, and it runs on the ordinary desktop computers already in the laboratory. It is developed and supported by Isratech, a software company in Islamabad, and it is currently in pilot rather than on general sale.

Standalone diagnostic laboratories running one to three counters, smaller laboratories with a second or third branch, and hospital laboratories. It is built for how laboratories in Pakistan actually work — ordinary desktop computers rather than servers, mains power that fails, cash as the main way patients pay, and referring-doctor commission that has to be calculated on every invoice rather than estimated at month end. It is not aimed at the national chains, who build their own systems in-house.

There is no home sample collection and no phlebotomist app. Online reports for patients, a portal for referring doctors, and running several branches as one operation belong to an optional cloud edition and are not part of the standard product. Sending a report over WhatsApp needs an internet connection at that moment, unlike everything else. Histopathology reporting, stock control and quality-control charting are not in the first release. We would rather you read that here than find it out after paying.

We move them across for you. We read your current database, transfer your history, and reconcile the record counts and financial totals against your existing system. Nothing is switched off until you have seen the figures match, and your existing reference numbers are preserved.

Isratech Lab keeps working with no internet connection at all. Registration, billing, printing, result entry and reporting run on the computers at your own premises, so a power cut or a dead line stops nothing — except sending a report by WhatsApp, which needs a connection at that moment. The optional cloud edition, which adds online access and multiple branches, does require internet.

The software writes a backup file every day. We restore it onto another machine and you carry on trading. This is why we configure the backup properly on the first day rather than leaving it as something to set up later.

Our technical team in Islamabad, Monday to Saturday between 9am and 9pm. Outside those hours, send a WhatsApp message and we respond the next working morning. We would rather publish our real hours than advertise a night shift we do not operate.

Yes, and you should not have to call us to do it. Prices, price lists, tests, packages, commission rates, user permissions and printed report layouts are all adjustable from inside Isratech Lab at no charge, by whichever of your staff you give permission to.

No. Isratech Lab runs on the ordinary desktop computers a laboratory already has. One of them holds the database — usually the front-desk machine, because it stays switched on through the working day. Most of the laboratories we build for have no server at all, and the system is designed around that rather than treating it as an exception.

We quote after visiting your business, because a single-room operation and a multi-branch one are genuinely different jobs. There is a one-time licence fee and an annual charge covering support and updates. You get it in writing before you commit to anything.

You export your complete database whenever you ask, in a format you can use. It is written into your contract. Holding a business hostage to its own records is not a way to keep customers, and we do not intend to.

It stays on the computers at your premises. Nothing is transmitted anywhere unless you choose the cloud edition. Every user has an individual login, and the record of who did what cannot be edited by anyone, including us.

Yes. We travel for on-site demonstrations anywhere we can reach, and where a visit is not practical we run the same demonstration over a WhatsApp video call — usually about half an hour. You still see Isratech Lab working on real figures, and you can ask whatever you like.
